Francia Brooks2022-05-09I went to Simon at the Better Mortgage Company to 1) secure better mortgage rates as the fixed term of my mortgage had come to an end and 2) for help/support with arranging additional borrowing to pay off the Help to Buy scheme. As someone who is not knowledgeable on the whole Help to Buy process, I needed as much help as I could get to ensure I understood all my options. Simon takes a no obligation approach, so even after an initial consultation with him, I didn't feel pressured to use his services (I just knew I wanted to!) and I wasn't charged for the time he gave. Simon was amazing at explaining every part of the process to me, empowering me to make a decision that suited my financial circumstances. Simon has continued to help and support me through the whole process and has been extremely responsive to all my queries (even responding to my emails out of hours, on weekends and when he was on holiday!). Nothing has been to much trouble for Simon and he has genuinely been a godsend for a process I have found to be quite complex and time consuming. I don't have any friends or family who are able to help me with this process, so having Simon has been a blessing. When dealing with third parties (such as your mortgage lender or solicitors in my case), Simon has helped explain things when I haven't understood them and has chased for responses when I felt I was not getting them in a timely fashion.
